Hi all,
This is a follow-up from my previous post 3 x 2 Minute Jobs To Save Your (Substack) Sanity
I had a bunch of people ask me why they couldn’t activate two-factor authentication (2FA) on their Substack account. The button to ‘Turn on’ was greyed out.
Turns out you need to enable recovery questions first. Oops my mistake, I didn’t include that vital piece of information.
I’m sure most of you figured it out, but I’m sorry if I wasted any of your precious time.
That’s it for now, see you next time,
P.S. There are still a couple of spots in my upcoming workshop. We’ll be working together on your publication in a small group setting, using my structured framework. It consists of four 1-hour sessions over 4 weeks plus optional Q and A sessions for personalised help. If you want to know more about it, send me a DM.
I originally did two of the three, but stalled at 2FA because it required installation of an external 2FA app. That seemed an extra technical step, especially as I had no idea which one to trust!
I think the dev team must be in there making changes because things look different from only just this weekend, and I have no “security” menu at all. Any idea where to go instead?
