Helpful advice. I hope to use your tips for recommendations to help get a bigger audience. I'm just starting with my Substack to help femalepreneurs build a business they love to become financially stable without much work or money invested.

Hi Karen, I’m a newbie and fumbling around in the app to date. Do you know if/how my subscribers can have an account for readers vs authors/publishers? Does such a thing exist? If so are there instructions I can share with them?

Hi Cori,

A Substack account allows you to be a reader or a writer, or both, with one account per email address. There is no difference between a reader and a writer account.

Substack prompts you to start a publication when you first get an account, but you don't have to do that, you can just skip the process if you only want to be a reader.

If anyone does not have a Substack account but wants to subscribe to your publication, they just type their email address into your signup form and Substack will create an account with it.

Hope this helps, Cori!
