Substack Chats: Now Web-Enabled
You can now use the chat feature without needing the Substack app (yay!)
Hello there and welcome to the weekend.
I just found out that Substack has launched web-enabled chat, hooray.
Chat is a community-building feature that some Substackers love and many others feel ‘meh’ about.
Chat was only accessible to people with the Substack app on their smartphones but you can now use chat as a reader and writer from your web browser.
Here’s Substack’s instructions about how to use chat:
I just created my first Substack chat and you can check it out by clicking the preview box below (yes, you can have images in chat threads!).
I’m looking forward to experimenting with chat for this newsletter - we might use it for accountability purposes, perhaps? Any other ideas?
