Weekly Accountability Thread
Stay on track with your Substack goals
Hey there, how’s your week been?
Mine’s been super-busy, as I prepare for the first of many interstate and international trips this year.
The great thing about earning money from Substack is it’s incredibly portable: I can make my weekly newsletters from anywhere.
Today I want to tell you about my new Weekly Accountability Thread. If you haven’t seen them yet, I launched a series of Chats - one per week - where you can hold yourself accountable for getting work done.
In each week’s thread I ask:
How did you go with your goal from last week? Did u get it done? Rate your outcome from 1 to 5 (5 = best).
What are you going to get done this week? Choose one thing, and be specific.
Next week, report on what you did.
The idea is to leverage the power of saying your goals out loud. Knowing that you will have to report on your progress can be just the nudge you need to stay motivated when you are losing focus.
How to participate
To participate in a Substack Chat, navigate to the Chat section of Substack on the web or the Substack app.
To get to the Chat section in the web version of Substack, click the heading of this email to view it online. Then find your personal profile picture, which will be at the top right of your screen if you are logged in.
Click your profile picture, then select Chat from the dropdown list.
To get to Chat in the Substack app, click the speech bubble icon at the bottom of the screen.
Once you are in the Chat section of Substack, scroll through the list of publications until you find the one you want to interact with (Pubstack Success), click it and then tap to read and reply.
Or just click the button below 😊.
See you in the Weekly Accountability Chats.
