Big Growth and Beginner Tips
Substack's paying (some of) my bills!
Hey there,
Happy December. How did we get to the end of the year so quickly?
I just wanted to drop you a line to say…
(a) I haven’t forgotten that I promised help sessions and accountability for new Substackers; and
(b) I’ve published a couple of new articles on Medium that you might find useful.
Help Sessions and Accountability
Help sessions and accountability features are ways for me to share what I have learned about growing a successful Substack publication in an informal way. One-on-one help sessions will be the first iteration, but I would love to also launch a group accountability option later.
I’d love to know your thoughts on this. Are you interested? Please click the buttons below to let me know.
If you clicked “None of the above” you might be here for the book discount. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten that either. The book isn’t available yet, but you’ll be the first to know when it is.
New help/inspo articles
In the past month I’ve written two new posts on Medium which are designed to help and inspire you on your Substack journey.
The first is Substack for Absolute Beginners and it includes the nuts and bolts of getting started, as well as the costs and alternative platforms.
The second is 65 Weeks on Substack, $6.5 K, in which I share what worked for me after turning on paid subscriptions, including a list of 18 ‘success boosters’ that helped me get to $5000 in revenue, and beyond.
Click on the links above to read those articles. By the way, the article links are “friend” links so you don’t need to be a Medium member to read them, and I don’t get $$ for your read time. You’re welcome!

Thanks for joining me on my Substack journey. I can’t wait to see your poll voting results and (hopefully) launch some help sessions in the new year.
Have a fabulous December, see you in 2023!
