I love Substack but gosh it’s hard to figure out sometimes. I’ve been on the platform since 2021 and I really could've used some support when I was starting out. Here are some of the questions I had when I was trying to grow my publication:
How do I figure out my target audience?
How do I get more subscribers?
What do all the settings mean?
Which is the best format - long or short?
What makes a compelling About page?
What is the best way to monetize?
These days I’m generating an impressive income through paid subscriptions with consistent growth. It feels great to be here, but on the way I had plenty of false starts and failed experiments.
Now, in addition to operating my paid newsletter, I spend a few hours each week in Pubstack Success sharing what I have learned about Substack-ing, so I can help other creators grow and succeed.
In the almost three years since I started Pubstack Success, I’ve helped hundreds of creators with one-to-one video calls, emails, comment replies and DMs.
The results have been stunning. Recently, a coaching client went from months of having just 2 paid subscribers to getting 2 new paid subscribers per week. He started seeing results after our very first session, and saved himself 4 hours of work per week that wasn’t adding value.
In addition to private coaching, I’ve got other solutions for you:
Substack Audit ($249), Substack Power-Up ($97) and Substack Done for You, are three game-changing products tailored specifically to optimize your publication and unlock its full potential.
They are available from my Gumroad store and you can check them out by clicking the image below.

What an absolutely brilliant idea! I've only been using substack for about 2 weeks so still working it all out. I could definitely use more help with adding my podcast!
Not sure if this is off topic or not (sorry if it is) but I've been trying to figure out the whole value of restacking. I don't find the answer on Substack satisfactory (it will go into the "home feed" - what homefeed? And subscribers "may" get an email?). I just can't conceptualize. So here's the question: Is it a good idea to routinely restack your own articles? If so, when? When they don't seem to get a lot of traction? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
