What an absolutely brilliant idea! I've only been using substack for about 2 weeks so still working it all out. I could definitely use more help with adding my podcast!

Not sure if this is off topic or not (sorry if it is) but I've been trying to figure out the whole value of restacking. I don't find the answer on Substack satisfactory (it will go into the "home feed" - what homefeed? And subscribers "may" get an email?). I just can't conceptualize. So here's the question: Is it a good idea to routinely restack your own articles? If so, when? When they don't seem to get a lot of traction? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Restacking has definite value, but the value varies depending on the reach of the person who re-stacks.

Re-stacking = posting to Substack Notes.

Only people in your network see your Notes in their Notes (home)feed. People in your network = your subscribers + your followers + their subscribers and followers. If your network is small then few people will see your Notes. If your network is large then many people will see your Notes.

The way to get traction on Notes if your network is small is to comment on Notes belonging to more popular writers.

Should you restack your own articles? Yes. It's very fast and easy and you have nothing to lose, and it might gain you a new follower or subscriber.
